Great Balsamic Vinegar Rasberry Puree dressing Spinach Salad Recipe heard on AM Radio ...
Hi folks ! This Salad Recipe is AWESOME !
I had never consumed goat cheese before
discovering this recipe, and wow ! What an
awesome recipe.
Goat cheese is truly a great treat.
I heard this recipe spoken by a guest on a
Los Angeles food and restaurant talk radio
program. The guest happened to be gourmet
foods retailer of balsamic vinegar, and spoke
about the history of Balsamic vinegar.
Interesting facts he gave: That the genuine
balsamic goes far back and is actually
quite expensive.
In this program he talked about a favorite salad
made of the following ingredients. He did not give
this as as a regular recipe indicating quantities
as we see in recipes from cookbooks and cards, so
you'll wing it on this, which is not difficult at
all. Therefore, what you probably would find on
your own as I did ( if I did not mention here
my own discoveries on preparing this recipe a
second time ) are two things :
A. Watch the amount of Balsamic and Raspberry
puree ( or jam )- Too much balsamic in relation
to Raspberry puree ( or Raspberry jam ) will
overpower the taste of the Balsamic/ Raspberry
salad dressing.
B. This happened the second time I made the
salad :
When placing into the spinach and then mixing
in the goat cheese, walnuts, and salad dressing
all together you may find at this point that the
walnuts will stick to your small amounts of goat
cheese that you pulled / sliced of your goat cheese
packet and into the Spinach.
The fact that as I mixed all the ingredients in the bowl,
and the walnuts stuck to the goat cheese is a great
thing ! Why? Because the walnuts are great stuck onto
the cheese. You can now see ( as I discovered )
that you can stick a few walnuts onto the cheese before
you put the walnuts in the mix ... a happy discovery
on my part !
Ingredients :
1) Fresh spinach,
2) Balsamic vinegar,
3)Raspberry puree
( Can replaced w/
Raspberry jam ),
4) Goat cheese,
5) Chopped walnuts
